‘The sanctuary I’ve presented within’ by Kh.Enkhnomin

“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is present. That is why it is called the present. My life is my artworks. Every art piece is my love, air, water, emotion, heart, plant, flowers, rain, snow, tears, rainbow, smile, wind, and will. My art is a sanctuary within myself. I dwell there, capturing my emotions in strokes of art. I find solace in that sanctuary whenever I’m facing hardship. It speaks to me, brings comfort, love, and energizes me. I express joy through song and dance in its embrace. Here lies a small piece of everything that flourished there” says Kh.Enkhnomin who is presenting her third solo exhibition. When she was asked why she decided to display this exhibition, she said “My second solo exhibition was displayed two years ago named ‘Love and Air’. Those works of art here are the things I’ve created in those two years, and had one concept and meaning, therefore I’ve decided to display those arts”.

Out of curiosity, I thought, is there any art that the artists wanted to spread among people more? An artist, Kh.Enkhnomin said, “I want to highlight two works of art. First of all, it is  ‘THE SANCTUARY I’VE PRESERVED WITHIN’. It feels like every person has two people within them. The first one is always in her or his childhood, thinking and seeing the world with pure eyes. Other one is our body and psyche. For me, everyone has to pay attention to and take care of their first one existing within them”. She further emphasized, “In my childhood, she was my elder, guiding and shielding me with her wisdom. But now, she appears about a decade younger, untouched by time’s passage. Her visage remains flawless, frozen in perpetual youth. Yet her demeanor betrays a mischievousness, akin to that of a spoiled, playful child. Meanwhile, I stand at the threshold of matrimony and motherhood, aware of my mortal fate-destined to age, wither, and ultimately fade away. But she remains adamant, persisting in her pursuit of uninhibited desires. Forever youthful, she revels in life’s pleasures, radiating boundless love and joy, untouched by the burden of complaints. Amidst my moments of regret, fury, and heartache, she is my steadfast companion, offering solace, forgiveness, and unwavering protection. We share an unbreakable bond, devoid of secret or pretense. I cherish her, longing to emulate her equanimity and boundless love”.

The second art she brought up seemed very valuable and creative. It was named “Mountain Father”, and she shared the story behind this art. One time she asked her five year old son, “In your opinion, what is a mother?”, he gave an amazing answer “Father is the mountain, mother the sun, big brother the tree, and I, the bunny”. What engaged me the most about this art is that details in this art was the idea of her children. She simply redrew those details and characteristics which her children painted on the wall, and included it in this work. If you want to see those eye-catching works of art, please visit the “Art of UB” gallery for this exhibition, which will be mounted until May 4.
