As part of preparations for the Naadam Festival, the outer and inner fields of the National Sports Stadium are being repaired in two main parts. In this context, the Department of Geodesy and Water Construction has assembled 1,200 meters of drainage lines outside the stadium in locations where there is a lot of water on the roads. Also, many small electrical substations, houses, support poles, and sanitary facilities, which were used only during the festival in the outer area have been dismantled and exposed electrical wires are being repaired. In addition, the road leading to the national stadium from both sides has been closed, and the entrance and exit have been organized into a car-free zone. After the completion of these works, the outer area will be landscaped as a green space. 

Moreover, Naadam is the most widely watched festival among Mongolians and is believed to have existed for centuries. It has its origin in the activities, such as military parades and sporting competitions such as archery, horse race and wrestling that followed the celebration of various occasions, including weddings or spiritual gatherings.  The biggest traditional summer festival, the Naadam, is held on July 11-15 throughout the country.

Naadam is also called “eriin gurvan naadam" or "the three menly “games. The games are Mongolian wrestling, horse racing, and archery, and are held throughout the country during midsummer. The Naadam is inseparably connected to the nomadic civilization of the Mongols, who have long practiced pastoralism on Central Asia’s vast steppe. It is celebrated widely in each and every single province and soum in Mongolia. Some of the administrative units celebrate their festival on different dates depending on special celebrity occasions or anniversaries.
