B.Baasankhuu became 6th Judo World Champion

More than 630 athletes from 104 countries are competing in the World Judo Championships, which is being held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on May 19-24. On the first day of the competition, the champion of Asia in the women’s 48 kg category, the gold medalist of the “Grand Slam” tournament in Dushanbe, B.Baasankhuu won the gold medal. With this, she became the sixth judoka from Mongolia to win the world champion title.

Before that, Kh.Tsagaanbaatar, the bronze medalist of the “Athens 2004” Olympic Games, the champion of the “Doha 2006” Asian Games, the champion of Asia, and the Honored Athlete won the first time in the 2009 World Judo Championships held in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. After his success, M.Urantsetseg won gold medal in the World Championships Rio de Janeiro 2013 and G.Boldbaatar grabbed the gold medal at World Championships Chelyabinsk 2014. D.Sumiya has the history of winning first place at the World Senior Championship Budapest 2017.
