“Tourism Week-2024” is being held from April 15 to 21 to assess the past activities, initiatives, and accomplishments in the tourism sector, and to determine the future direction, goal and policies of the sector. 880 representatives were brought up from the Environment and Tourism Departments of 21 provinces, tourism associations, academics and researchers, guides and interpreters, and enterprises operating in the tourism sector.

Under a goal to invite and attract one million tourists this year in Mongolia, Mongolian Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Mongolia and Mongolia Tourism Organization signed the memorandum of cooperation in connection with the transfer of the right to perform certain government functions on April 15. The first keynote speech of the event was given by the Minister of Environment and Tourism, B.Bat-Erdene on the topic of “Strategy for the development of the tourism industry in Mongolia”. He highlighted that, “It is important that the public-private sector partnership does not stop its cooperation by 2023-2025, and further intensifies the collaboration. The possessors of the benefits and successes created by the tourism industry today are all of you who came to this conference”.

As part of the Tourism Week, jointly organized by the Ministry of Environment and Tourism and the Mongolia Tourism Organization, a series of events have been scheduled for industry professionals. For instance, the Tourism Investment Forum will be organized on April 18-19, and the Tourism International Youth Forum will be held on April 20, as well as the Tourism Event on April 21.
